bondi bowl

hanging out around the bondi skate bowl, you can see some pretty impressive stuff. today, we saw both rollerbladers and bmx-ers back flipping, and of course some pretty cool skate tricks. i wish i didn't have 'the fear' which comes with 'age', and stops you from just going for it.

i couldn't decide which snap to blip today, and this guy isn't doing anything massively impressive, but i couldn't resist the blue of the bowl and the clarity of his shadow below.

beautiful sunny day. fully embracing bondi life today - walking megs along the beachfront and 'skateboarding' (i use the term loosely; more accurately described as 'trying to balance on a skateboard') barefoot.

dinner this evening with friends in paddington. fun evening topped with being thrown off the bus along with all of the passengers, as the bus driver had clearly had enough of british youths drinking on his bus. he totally flipped out. packed up the money in the ticket machine; took his holdall; said he was heading home, and then got off the bus and walked off up bondi road, leaving the keys in the ignition. needless to say, when a random passenger jumped into the driver's seat, we decided we'd just walk the rest of the way home. poor guy.

hoping the swell will have calmed a little tomorrow, so we can get back in the surf.
