the bondi fairy

one of the things i love about wandering around bondi is that you really cannot predict what you'll see. there's an awful lot of random furniture and people's belongings out on the street, either waiting to be legally picked up by the Council, or to be picked up by a random passer by. a lot of young people also hold 'garage sales', hanging up their clothes, cd's, shoes etc on a rail outside their homes, selling off last season's items.

and today, as we were walking home from the beach, i couldn't resist blipping this magical little pair of fairy wings, blowing in the breeze, tied around a tree trunk. the light was lovely and the randomness wonderful.

fun day back in the surf and sunshine. plus, exciting news, i've invested in a beautiful longboard skateboard, which i rode along the beach promenade this evening. when i get a little better i fully intend on it being a mode of transport to my ferry commute in the morning. sooo excited!! love the freedom it brings, and the way it feels like surfing and snowboarding, all in one lovely cruise.
