snoozing on the job

okay, i feel slightly guilty posting this as the lifesavers at bondi do an admirable job.

however, it was an amusing sight today, seeing a typically hardworking, responsible group of folk snoozing on the beach, sheltering from the sea they're 'guarding' since it was so windy today. dangerous swells meant that there weren't many people in the water, so i guess they were a little more relaxed. these are also the volunteer lifesavers, as opposed to the Council employed lifesavers who wear blue.

up early this morning as M was off to work before 7. had a fun morning walking megs out in the wind. i sat on the edge of the cliffs on ben buckler point, taking some photos and just breathing in the elements and watching the immense power of the waves crashing on the rocks. i love when it's wild.

i then got as close to ocean swimming as you can, without swimming in the ocean... the Bondi Icebergs pool - the outdoor pool on the edge of bondi beach, was being battered by the sea. So much so that one end of the pool was roped off as they were concerned about swimmers getting washed into the ocean. Waves kept crashing over the edge and making the pool incredibly rough. So much fun!
