...Hi ho, Hi ho, It's off to work.....

The Boss knocking up a couple of gammon butties and the last of the pineapple dessert to take to work tonight.

We've had a water leak opposite the house next door for three weeks...guess which day United Utilities turned up to repair it? Yep, today....at 7.30! They dug a big hole, put a fence up around it ....and buggered off by 10.00. So the road is like a slalom course and getting on and off our drive is a real test of steering. God knows when they'll be back to actually do the repair. There'll be real trouble if we get a cold snap and the water gushing everywhere freezes!

Back into town today to spend some of the tokens we got from Christmas. Still very quiet. M & S was quite busy, but mainly with people returning things or buying next years crackers and cards....in fact I think we were the only ones buying anything new.....a dressing gown to go with my new slippers.

Quiet afternoon watching Harry Potter, more left overs for dinner tonight.

If the weather holds up, several of us are going fishing tomorrow, if it turns out rainy and windy like the forecast says then we'll probably all have a lie in!

It's a hard life.
