3 sleeps to go! Aahh, the anticipation - I can't wait for Christmas. I can't wait to give Jonny his gift, I can't wait to give his family gifts and I can't wait for the roast turkey.

I'm also looking forward to not having to get up and go to work for a couple of weeks, which makes tomorrow bittersweet - I have been on a temporary contract with my current employer for the last few months and unfortunately it finishes up tomorrow. I've met some amazing people working there and will miss them terribly as I move onto something else. I think because I seemed to fit in so well and became "part of the furniture" during my time there, I got comfortable and 'forgot' it would come to an end. Not looking forward to the soul-crushing activity that is job searching, again!

Have I mentioned how much I dislike waking up when it's pitch black and leaving sitting at my desk at work when it's pitch black outside? Well, an upside to that is that today was the shortest day of the year. Days will only get longer (even if won't be noticeable for awhile!) from here on in!

This evening after work I ducked along Princes Street to pick up a last minute gift (whoops - forgot someone!) (honestly, the amount of people with the same idea as me of picking up last minute gifts was ridiculous!) and caught the bus at George Street, making a point to walk to the furtherest stop to walk past The Dome. I love this building, the way it's all lit up and decorated. It puts me in a good mood every time I walk past it. So I wanted to take a picture to share with you all, and my mum (she's an avid fan of my daily blips) - even though my blips lately seem to be all about Christmas!

Apologies for cutting off the top of the building, had I stepped back any further, the cars parked either side of where I was standing got into frame.
