Art or putting lipstick on a pig?

When i walk to & from the carpark to the office (which is usually 2 or 3 times a day!) i pass a few big shop windows with metal shutters on them.

I always think those things look so bloody depressing.

The guy who owns a few of them got some graffitti artists to spray the shutters and they look really cool now. He said the double bonus is the kids who are casual taggers (which is the stuff that makes a building look even worse! I mean.. woohoo well done you can spell your name! ) anyway they respect the shutters now & dont tag over them.
