From Grefsenkollen, one of the two best overlooks of Oslo.
Today was the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year, and I sat on a mountaintop, frozen solid, watching it fade into darkness. I'm pretty convinced that Oslo can be magical any time of year, but since I've been back, it feels especially such. No overcast skies, no blizzards, just brilliant clear sky and the wonderful northern sun peaking out over the Oslofjord.
