Day sixty-two: the warmth of friendship

Eponine is friends with Ellie. I helped J with her garage sale on Saturday, so our dogs had a lot of playing time. It was a cold Saturday. I watched Eponine snuggle right up next to Ellie, and she immediately fell asleep.

Similar to my post on Puck and comfort, there is definitely a comfort that is nearly palpable in this photo. But it is important to note that Eponine wasn't able to settle in as peacefully until she was snuggled beside Ellie.

I think that wholeness can also be found in friends who see the best in us and comfort us and love us just the way we are. There is peace and warmth in true friendship, and this is to be cherished as a part of our journey to wholeness.
