Decorative bit that came back broken.

This is the decorative bit on the front of mum's trousers. The top one is as it should be. The one underneath is the one I believe they forced open somehow.
It's not meant to come apart but it gives the appearance that maybe it needs to be to remove the trousers but they are elasticated and as she didn't go in wearing these they would have seen they were elasticated when they were put on. I appreciate that maybe a different person did the two tasks.

Mum couldn't have broken this herself as she wouldn't be strong enough. I've washed them hundreds of times without this happening so I presume someone thought they were opening a clasp and found something to open it up with.

I wonder if it can be put back somehow.

Today the girl didn't ring me first thing as promised yesterday. I didn't get a call until the afternoon from someone else. He told me they had scoured the whole of the unit and found more of mum's clothes that I could go and collect.

When I got there, some things were hers some weren't. Other things of mum's were still missing.

They took me down to the laundry room where I spotted one of mum's nighties but not her brand new bra, lilac sweatshirt, lilac jumper, turquoise jumper, black vest or her lilac top with short sleeves used in winter as a vest.

They said they would ring if they found them.

I returned the socks, knickers (which were someone else's that they'd put on her, size 14 when she's a size 22 and obviously weren't able to be put on anything like properly) and the bra which was someone else's and had someone else's name stitched into it. So they obviously hadn't checked first to see if the item of clothing actually belonged to mum.

I find this underwear thing quite hideously sickening.

There was a suggestion box on the wall on the way out. I wouldn't know where to start but this isn't the end of this. I just need to find out who I can complain to and tomorrow I think I'll be ringing social services.
