Ragged around the edges ...

... a bit like myself :) I've succumbed to the rest of the week off work and have missed all sorts of interesting and festive things - the ladies' book club Christmas bash, staff supper tonight and a hair cut but I think things are improving, though himself had to go and get emergency strepsils and more lemsip.

Anyway, I have spent the day fairly productively bagging cards as there are two Christmas fairs this weekend and we have stalls. We are Christmas fair virgins so it will be interesting to see what happens! These are new fairs and we were directly approached but for other local happenings we were astonished to discover we should have booked places by August!

The government has done a u-turn re savage cuts to young disabled people's allowances - they seem to have been amazed at the ferocity of opinion against this and are 'thinking again'. What is so incredible is how they ever thought this could be acceptable - 48% cuts to their weekly allowance!

And now to the weather!! It is wild - gales with the occasional bout of horizontal rain, as though someone was chucking great bucketfuls across at us. And it's getting colder.
