Twisted hazel!

No work today so caught up with a few chores then went for a brisk walk. Still cold but the sky was an astonishing cloudless blue. This twisted hazel is at the top of our boreen - a strange plant, to keep it twisty you have to cut off suckers very quickly or they all go straight.

All a bit doom and gloom over here as the budget has just been published. It is pretty punishing, especially for people on low incomes. I could get extremely het up about this as it really does seem to be a case of those that are very well off escaping unscathed whilst those that are struggling are being the severest hit.

On top of that, we are apparently in for a once in a lifetime Siberian experience with ferociously cold temperatures and more snow for next week - as predicted by an 'expert'. And it's going to last until the New Year. Ooof.
