Ho Ho Ho

Today is one of the Holy Days of Obligation as it's the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Traditionally you got the day off in order to go to Mass but it seems to have morphed into a Holy Day of Christmas Shopping. A few years ago teachers still got the day off and there was a frantic rush off to Cork or Dublin to do all things Christmassy. That's all gone now but the shops have 10% off everything today and Father Christmas seems to be making a sneaky early visit. He's heading down to Kilcrohane this evening and lots of these little signs have been placed all along the peninsula should he or anyone else get lost. I rather like them ,especially the antlers.
