Winter sunset
Winter sunsets never fails to create a little awe and wonder and I often take a walk to watch the last rays of light.
At this time of year it is easy to understand why the sun was worshipped.
I like the thought of people from the past walking the same paths as me and my dog watching the changing light as the sun sinks below the horizon.
Within a mile radius there are both iron and bronze age settlements, and as previously recorded the area is rich in Roman history.
It is only when the sun sinks in the last few minutes that one appreciates how rapidly it travels, and it always reminds me of this Paul Simon number: The sun looks so close at sunset, and yet within seconds it is slip sliding away.
Out this evening to one of The Bitch Pack for a take away curry, so there is bound to be gossip tomorrow x
Enjoy the weekend, blippers.
