I would love to be able to say that myself and the wife have modern works of art around the garden. In this case it's the window frame hanging from a tree that doesn't show another world, but shows your own world and how special it is.

But it's not, and nor are we up ourselves that much. In fact, we just about got ourselves thrown out of the Tate Modern earlier in the year for being so negative about the place. As Jackson Pollock says, the key to modern art is knowing when to stop. I'd agree with that, and I'd also include, the other key to modern art is knowing when not to begin. Anyway, despite the wife loudly saying "BULLSH*T" as she read out some clap trap from some rubbish art piece in the Tate Modern, much to the consternation of the surrounding people, we do like good art. (You know, the stuff where someone is talented as opposed to useless and full of crap).

Today is getting things done day. We have a visitor in 2 days and this is a good opportunity (and excuse) to get the little things done. Like the bathroom. Just little bits of trim, like this mirror surround. It's hanging from a tree because it's the best place I can find to paint it. Also some shelves are turning white and they'll be rehung sometime tomorrow iirc.
