What a Difference

Less than a day, and a transformation has occurred.

The prednisone is working!

This morning he sat up, devoured his breakfast, and took a shower by himself.

By this afternoon, he was agitating to be released. It's a miracle. He was so sick for the past month he could barely lift his head.

After four teams of doctors all came by to poke and prod and register their opinions, the final decision was to let us go home, fax them blood tests mid-week and come back for a follow-up in a few days.

I went out for a breath of air and found these grapes growing on the side of one of the Beth Israel buildings. In the middle of the city, fruit is growing wild. Amazing!

Matt drove us home and we got there around 7 pm, to find homemade pea soup and fresh-baked bread waiting on the counter, and a newly cleaned house with clean sheets on the bed. Our friends and family are wonderful, and we are very very grateful.
