Fermentation fan: not alcohol but...

slightly sparkling rejuvelac.

This is a simple, home-made, probiotic drink made from wheat grains. It's just beginning to bubble here, which is 4 days into the process. I'll drain this liquid off tomorrow to drink and replenish the water for another batch from the same grains. It is refreshing and delicately sweet - which is more than can be said for the grains themselves. Although I have tried to re-use these in crackers and cereal bowls, I admit to them being too asssertive and musty for my taste.

I feed them to the pigs instead, now, so we are all happy.
