The Wren

Burnt sienna and lemon yellow ?

There was absolutely no point in getting up early this morning. The cold fog which engulfed us yesterday afternoon had given way to a simply dreich day! I had my art class in the morning so hoped that things would have improved by the afternoon - vain hope. So, on with the waterproofs again and without much hope of a good blip the dogs and I set off. Surprisingly the dampness seemed to bring the colours out in the decaying bracken and I think this is perhaps the best example. Wonderful ranges from the yellows through umbers to sienna. You can see how tall the plants are now, most probably as a result of all the rain this year, and Cara and Bruce had a great time playing jungles. The post walk cup of tea was most welcome after I had used up two towels drying both dogs off.

Thank goodness I stumbled out early yesterday to get my inversion blip because there was just a mere suggestion of hills today, but only if you peered closely enough through the mist. Ah well.
