Perfect perch - today it's starlings!

I 'blipped' this dead looking tree recently with collard doves. I think it could become a favourite feature as the birds love it and show up so well. It's good to be home and back into the routine of the afternoon walk. The geese are on form and look forward to a treat of pieces of apple. The fungus are coming through and looking splendid so it was 'a tough call'. Lots of pictures taken, now I have to decide what to do with some of the others that were very good - you'll just have to take my word for it!
Off to our lovely neighbours tonight for a meal, 'never knowingly undercatered' is her slogan so we are starving ourselves in anticipation. Of course Bracken goes too as she lives there when we are away. There is also the possibility of fireworks which she doesn't like, the distractions of the family should provide sufficient reassurance!
