Homage

To sweetdustybones :)

Ben saw her picture of Hubby & Boo's double decker traintrack bridge and Ben said, Daddy make bridge! So they did. Although ours is fake Brio and I think theirs might be the real deal ;0) They even tidied up the drums and the cushions first. I was impressed!

The moment of playing with trains has passed though, already. We're onto balloons again. And I've already been told off for sitting on Ben's drumkit. (AKA the sofa.)

Church this morning. Very very very tired. But the clocks going back last night meant we did indeed get an extra hour's sleep this morning, and for that I am grateful! We were even on time to church for a change! I doubt it will last - I hope we are on time to our weekly toddler groups this week at the very least before our body clocks cotton on and adjust accordingly to make us late as usual again....

Ben wouldn't settle into Sparklers this morning and I ended up staying there the whole time and missed the service. Feeling ever more out of things at church. Glad and grateful for the friends we have made there though, it's good to have friends even if you end up missing Sunday services and midweek meetings.

Off to make the second batch of thankyou cards now. I had to pick a fiddly one to finish off the jungle theme didn't I. Lots of looping coloured wool to make a mane. Lots of double sided tape that doesn't like its backing being peeled off. Lots of fiddly cutting! D'oh. Worth it though. Think I'm going to make a photobook of Ben's third birthday, and leave lots of space in it to stick a copy of the invite and party bag and thankyou card in, as well as photos of him playing with his new toys and space to stick his birthday cards in too. Might be a nice way of keeping the record of the birthday all together! Might have to make a similar photobook up for his second birthday too, as that was such a lovely weekend away. Will have to go back and see about the first birthday ;0)
