Help I've not taken any pictures yet....

"Get snapping then!"

Not so easy when toddler is unable to stand still for even a moment, wants to see you taking the picture of him from behind the lens, camera isn't capable of focussing in low light..... aarrgh!!

Am absolutely shattered today. Yesterday's day out was wonderful but I've really been soooo tired today.

My early morning turned out to not be quite as early as I was worried it might be, 10-12 musicians' meeting at church to talk about vision and direction and to have a quick time in instrumental groups. The start of bigger things! All good.

Home for lunch and then out to another birthday party, thank goodness Steve came with me (I was a bit worried he might have stayed home to wire in the consumer unit!) because it was a bouncy castle party and Ben spent a lot of time bouncing on the edge holding Steve's hands. Ben was reeeeally tired too. I was so tired I nearly fell asleep a couple of times but stopped myself because it did occur to me that a heavily pregnant mama falling off a chair might cause a bit of panic.

Typically once we got home and I took myself off up to bed, I couldn't drop off to sleep. Ben was fine, he'd had two power naps - one on the way to the party, and one on the way home so although he was tired he wasn't at falling-asleep point!

I couldn't face coming downstairs though. It was far safer in bed. I wasn't being jumped on!

Once we'd had something to eat (a bad eating day: "dinner" was a bowl of strawberries and cream, a bowl of cereal, and a large choc chip muffin *sigh* just don't tell the sugar nurses) we put Ben to bed. He was fascinated to see a diesel engine parked outside our house on the railtrack. The track is closed just by our house, they're replacing the track I think (I can't remember but it's going to take a good couple of months just on our section) so Steve and Ben were shining torches onto the engine to see it in the dark. Great big reflective strips on it! It came and went all night, sitting there idling, revving up, idling again, honking and moving off down the track, and back an hour later....

Once Ben was asleep I finished off the housework and sat down with Steve and we watched Baby wriggling around in my tummy. We used to spend ages watching Ben wriggling around but this time around we hardly have any time to do this kind of thing - if we're not dealing with Ben or the house or this or that, we're shattered and heading off to bed! So it was a bit of a treat to say hello to baby, touching where he was sticking his hand out, watching him wriggle around. Lovely time.

And of course the clocks are going back tonight! I must be the only parent around who is actually not stressed about this. We might actually be on time to things this next week :D at least until our body clocks catch up and then it'll be back to being late to everything again...... hehehe :0)
