All fired up and ready to go!

Yesterday we met up with our newish neighbour with her two small children. We offered 2 of our pumpkins for Halloween, they were enthusiastically accepted but like most young mums G. is very busy getting involved with school activities etc. 'Mr Mike' as the children call him, offered to carve them and here is the result. When we set off on our afternoon walk today we left them at the back door as everyone was out. No mistaking which is which, one of them didn't make it to fully orange!
Wet and miserable all day but managed to have a full day of activity. Nudged into action by my daughter I too now have the Christmas cake fruits soaking in brandy. Also peeled a load more apples, I'm just going to have to make another batch of chutney. Together with housework, ironing and dog walking I'm ready now for a relaxing evening.
