- - - - - Dashing away with the smoothing iron

Yesterday's ironing session reminded me that my iron needed replacing, water was squirting everywhere when it wasn't wanted. So this morning we had a trip to Northallerton to get an all singing, all dancing (not quite) new iron and a bit of grocery shopping.
I took lots of pictures of my new iron but it is covered in writing and I really didn't want that to be the highlight. The best thing about it is that it's purple so this view works best.
After lunch I mixed 'the cake'. It is now in the oven and my fingers are crossed. It's always the same, every year I wonder if it's going to turn out OK. I'll let you know!
