a change is as good as a vest

although the modus operandi has changed very little, the excitement of working with a different medium is almost too much to bear. Instead of "pick up apples, empty into trailer" we now have "pick up logs, put in trailer". Which means I am no longer collecting bucket-handle-blisters I am, instead (and I think this is why it's so exciting) getting scratched up arms!

The 1st law of machine use came into full force this afternoon. Two minutes into sawing up logs, the chainsaw decided that it was actually broken. So, now it's having its bits replaced and some new oil and then it will be sawing up 'til darkness arrives. How lovely that it gets dark so early these days......
