On the move

Today was probably the last time I would have the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking surroundings of my parents' home in Dorset.

With my father very frail and my mother struggling to cope, they have decided to move north to Alsager to live close to my brother and his family.

It's sad they will be leaving this place, but it's probably for the best because it is so isolated - not ideal for an elderly couple in poor health.

It was always hard work to get to, but it was a idyllic spot and I'll miss it.
