A "Painted" Blue Heron
There is no right or wrong...
when it comes to making art.
Making sure that you have fun...
is the most important part.
That was the song of the day on Mickeys Clubhouse. My grandson Merrick sat through about half of a 30 minute cartoon. Goofy was having problems with his artwork.
I know how the Goof feels. I try not to dwell on things I can't do...butttt... I wish that I could draw, and I wish that I could sing. I did have 4 years of choir in high school, but I only took it for the "cheap" credits, and I know I didn't fool anybody with my musical skills. As for the drawing...stick figures are the norm for me, and even then...I make their trunks too long, and their feet too big.
Maybe that's why I'm drawn(ha) to the camera. In its simplest form...I snap the shutter, and the camera draws the picture for me. VOILA! Instant "art."
I took the picture of this heron today, and decided to let Photoshop "paint" it for me. I've done this with quite a few pictures, but have never had one blown up into a 5x7 or an 8x10. In a way, I hate to "cheat", and do it on the computer, butttt...(close to sobbing)... I CAN'T DRAW! I JUST CAN'T DRAW!!!
I'm not sure if Mickey was right today. How can I have fun if I have to struggle to draw a stick figure? I got their point, but when art gets serious...some have it, but most don't.
