Nastics

23months 23days (eek, one week!)

Lovely day today! We went to play in the playcentre before gymnastics, and Lydia was there with her mum, so Katie liked having her to play with too. She got herself right up through everything in the main playframe and stood waving at me.

Katie had a lot of energy today at gymnastics. We were doing the circuit when one of the pregnant (last week) mums arrived. With new baby girl - who arrived yesterday morning. The owner wanted photos with her, their youngest gymnast! So Katie happily pottered round the circuit with the assistant coach. The mum was saying she'd been a bit sad to miss the Bounty Photographer coming round at hospital, so we did an impromptu shoot on the crash mats with some blankets, whilst Katie carried on round with the coach.

They did lots of "circle" themed games today - hoops, tunnels, balls. Katie loved playing with the hoops, although of course the "hoop over cone" game involved repeats of last weeks' Hat game.

Her favourite bit was the last 10 minutes - the big apparatus. Today on the bar she swung by herself, then went from hold to tuck to pike, and looked very proud of herself, as she did it again when they told her to. I was paying her membership after gymnastics and she chased Gail round the gym. Very quickly. She's not wearing a tshirt in the picture because I had to take hers off to try on the new one. I took that off and then she didnt want another on!

I took her to nursery after gymnastics - she arrived at 1.05 and they said that by 1.10 she was fast asleep. She got up and had kept her nappy dry. She went for a wee and then her nappy was still dry at 5.00pm, so she's definitely happier with that side of things at nursery too now. They said she's been really happy playing outside today, and had rather warmed to Amy, one of the girls, and was chasing her round on a scooter. She all her tea up at the table, and was in the cosy corner with Monkey and two teddies that she's taken to at nursery.

Whilst Katie was at nursery, I went to buy our new car. I had told Katie this morning I was getting a new car. When I picked her up, I said "lets go to the car" and Katie said "new car!" She was very pleased with the colour of the new car, and on the way home said "like it new car".
