Valedictory Ceremony

Tonight was another highlight and emotional evening in our lives! R jnr's AS-levels (or matric) group were awarded trophies for their hard work during the year!

He was awarded the Deputy Principal's Trophy for Dedication and Commitment as well as the Merit Award for Exceptional Achievement in ICT! This celebration concluded the school career for my only grandchild! What a milestone in our lives!

The whole year was marked by emotional milestones in Ronnie's life, milestones for him which were reminders for us, his parents and granny, that he's not our 'child' anymore but a young man of note! We are so proud of him, but, believe you me, the emotions are confusing!!! You ARE proud of what he's achieved as well as of where he is in life, but eisch, we would've loved to have 'our little darling' for longer!

Good luck with the coming final exams my dear Ronnie, our prayers and love will accompany you for ever ... and a day!!

I will back blip for Tuesday and Wednesday just after this! I didn't want to give the surprise away by blipping it before today, because my blips do appear on Facebook as well and almost all the matric students are connected and would've seen what the trophies look like if I'd blipped them earlier! ;-) They were hidden in my office, since I've ordered and received them and then I took them to a local jeweller to engrave them.
