Meet Hector

Something a little bit different for todays blip! This is Hector the Highland bull. My Mum eye-spied him last week when she was in Broughty Ferry with her sister and absolutely fell in love with him, as have I! He's a cold cast bronze made by a brilliant ceramicist called Veronica Ballan who has her studio in Northumberland.

My Mum didn't buy him then but came back and told us all about him. Yesterday my Dad surprised my Mum and said that after lunch they'd pop back into the Ferry to see if he was still there and then buy him. I went with them and there he was sitting in the window as a centre piece. My Mum's so happy and she's decided to name him Hector. He's now sitting pride of place on the mantelpiece (as you can see above) and I think he's absolutely brilliant! What do you think?
