WYSIWYG
I recall in my early days designing on computers (apple macs anyway) that the acronym WYSIWYG came into the vernacular and we were all desperate to achieve it.
Trouble is that early days of monitors, quantel and then photoshop, we really struggled. Even today it remains an issue, but of course everything is relative and in fact what can be achieved today is amazing.
Point of the story is that I did have an event to publish today, albeit pretty boring, but as the sun was going down and poked through the gap at the side of house and our next door neighbour's, I was sat having an early evening cuppa pondering my day, the second day of cloudless skies and the pesky parakeets fighting amongst themselves in the garden behind, I noticed the low sun catch the pyracantha. The diffusion of sun's rays threw a wonderful arrays of colours across the bush and onto the plants and wall behind.
A pal who introduces me to people as the 'arts and crafts department' would be amused that I would notice this and/or care. But colour has always fascinated me and I wondered if I could photograph and capture WYSIWYG through the lens.
I'm pretty happy, for these colours (SOOC) are exactly what I saw.
(Needed to take about 7 different exposures though!...but this one was spot on!)
