Stairway to...

...a maize field, as it turned out. Being the curious type I, of course, couldn't walk past without checking. I went with black and white but the colour version is here.

Well, the boys didn't emerge from their rooms until midday today, by which time Mr DawnC had had a round of golf and I had written a load of lists and fired off a number of emails. As I type the boys are playing in a home (football) match, which should wake them up a bit. The dogs have been for a walk and Basil is much improved. Where we walk at Iron Hill we choose between the 'short', 'medium' and 'long' routes and the good news is that Basil made it round the long one without too much trouble :)

Now I'm listening to Eleanor McEvoy, studying, and preparing to cook roasted chicken and vegetables.
