Roadblock
I did think about calling this Crazy, and putting in a link to Patsy Cline, but, although the story attached to the blip is daft, I decided to go with the crux of the photo. Also because I found this video of the song Roadblock, done by, probably the most uncool record producers ever. Not what I would expect from them.
Anyway, today was a home game for AFC against Kilmarnock, which finished 2-2, with us coming from behind to get the draw, although we probably just deserved to win, but we didn't, so there.
In the latter half of last season, for some unknown and really crazy (there you go) "health and safety" reason, Grampian Police decided to block the bottom half of the road, despite the fact at the bottom right hand side there is a car park for the adjoining flats. Also behind these apartment blocks is a lane containing even more flats. Now there is access to the from further up the road, but therein lies the problem. If a vehicle approaches the closed road from the road coming from the left of the sign, and is wanting togain acces to the houses in the lane behind, they have to illegally turn right up the one way street for about 30 ft then hang a left.
The powers that be think that this it safer and more acceptable to force pedestrians to jump out of the way of cars going the wrong way in a one way street, rather than go slowly down the closed off road.
It would be much better to not let them go along the connecting road in the first place, and just put them back up onto the main road and enter that way.
But ours is not to reason why, ours is just do do or die.
And with cars going up the wrong way, it may not be long until the latter may be forthcoming; or at very least a serious injury.
