Star of Bethlehem
Headed of into town this morning to get Mr Lif sheared. He is not a fan of haircuts and only went in under protest. We found a "proper" barber shop for him, complete with a red and white stripey pole. There was no queue so the first trigger point was overcome! Once inside the price list amused me somewhat. A "flat top" for £7.50 and a "mullet" for £6.50. Mr Lif opted for a basic cut for the princely sum of £5.50. Young Jake refused to be lured into a cut, even thought the barber was keen to demonstrate his skills :)
As soon as Mr Lif was released from the chair, the next stop was Superdrug where he purchased a comb and some gel and tried to put right the wrongs. I think that time is a great healer in hair related matters.
When we got home I grabbed my hoe and my fork and set about weeding the front garden. Cue torrential rain :( It didn't last long and I was able to tidy up the front garden to my satisfaction). However, not enough time to plant the lovely "wedding" tulips which arrived today from Mike's niece, Beccy. I will get them in next week.
Time to chill now, the cava is ready :)
