Baku chimneys.

I love this rooftop which I can see from my office. There's a charm about old Baku which the shiney new buildings just don't have. I particularly like looking at the rooftops or into courtyards and entrance halls where there's often some interesting and partly hidden decoration. These chimneys are just great!

Today D is seven months old. Where has the time gone?! Sadly I was at work so we didn't really get to celebrate together, but he woke up before I went to work and was very smiley - it's the best start to my day :) By the time I got home he was sleepy, so had a nap and then got up again for dinner and a little play before going back to sleep - I wish I had that life!

We've bought D a new toy - a car that you pull back and let go to make it move. D is more interested in the cats' reactions than the toy at the moment - they love it. Sod's law - buy them something similar but from a pet shop and they look at me as if to say 'you think that's going to entertain me? get me a real mouse'. So now D has to learn to get to the toy before the cats (and we have to make sure that they don't chew it as D is almost certainly going to do that when he catches it!
