A seasider's view

Achillea and common bird's-foot trefoil

A wee dash of colour on the first day of September (can someone slow this year down a bit?).

Truffle hunted this shot out in the garden on Montrose Street, which I seem to be haunting just now.

I wasn't sure of the yellow flower's name until I looked it up in my wildlife book - which I've done umpty-odd times before, and for some reason can't remember. On the upside, I had the joy of re-discovering the name - common bird's-foot trefoil - isn't that a great name to go by?

I love achillea too, and in one of the other shots I took today I found a bee having a snooze (or final rest?) on a pom-pom of achillea.
