Culzean Castle - HDR

Constructed between 1777 and 1792 for David Kennedy, 10th Earl of Cassilis as the seat of his earldom, Culzean Castle lies on the Ayrshire coast overlooking the Clyde.

With the exception of the top floor appartment, which was presented to General Dwight D. Eisenhower in thanks and recognition for his role as Supreme Commander of Allied Forces during the Second World War, the castle and grounds were given to the National Trust for Scotland in 1945.

The tents in the foreground were part of the preparation for "Knights and Princesses" day which was to take place on Sunday.

This is my first attempt at HDR imaging, using in this instance a single capture.
