Montreal's Pulse - Parc Jeanne Mance

This is a beautiful alleyway which traverses through Jeanne Mance Park, across from the Mont Royal. The park is at the heart of the city and of its activity. Tonight just after dinner it was packed with people enjoying a walk or cycling. But it is also a hub of organized sports activities with 11 tennis courts, a North American football field (also used for soccer or football), a number of beach volleyball courts and 2 baseball fields. Tonight I watched a softball game between two young women's teams, as memories of my playing softball for years growing up flooded me. I watched the game with a smile on my face. There were children playing some bowling game, a group doing martial arts in the grass and a number of dogs playing or running. Park Jeanne Mance pulses with life and joy.

The park also has some amazing huge and old trees, some of which line this alleyway. I loved the symmetry of it for this picture. It invites for a walk of another era.
