There's a Bright Golden Haze on the Meadow.....

Wow, what a day for wild life.

Cycling in I met my usual dozen or so Bunnies. Now I don't know if they are getting used to me, or my smell (I do believe it is rather pleasant), but they don't run away quite so fast, or so far. They tend to sit and watch now, only scurrying away if I slow down and speak to them.

In the middle third - the tunnel I took last week, I met a Labradoodle called Ziggy, who ever so obliging, decided to run along with me. The faster I cycled, the faster he ran. It was only when his master shouted him to stop, I realised I was gasping for breath.

In the last third, I realised that the crop growing is Sweet Corn. Think I'll have to remember a bag and "pick up the dropped ones", on the way home once they are ready!

As I skirted the airport on the last run, (the fourth third actually), I spotted this chap. Oh how excited was I? Excited enough to fall off my bike, drop my rucksack, and spill my packed lunch all over the floor. I have tried to catch this chap on several occassions as he flies past the office, but always unsuccessfully. I stood and watched him for a while. And He watched me back.

Once in the office, sat at my window, I had my usual fill of Ryanair Jets, wee planes like the ones which I flew in on Monday night, the Wagtails who are experts at catching moths and ripping the wings off them, before munching on their bodies. The Magpies were being chased by the Crows, and the House martins were swooping and diving everywhere.

And then, out of the hedge, this little chap!

And Tooli Text! She is Alive and Well and Enjoying her Outward Bound Course!! Yay!

Beloved came and met me on another bike on my way home
