A peaceful corner at the allotment
It's nice to sit on the bench behind the privet hedge and let the nostrils be filled with the sweet scent of Gladiolus callianthus! The Cosmos makes M feel a bit more at home, since it's a very common roadside weed in South Africa.
It's hard to recognize this corner of the allotment now, it's gone through a total makeover, starting with removing the lilac hedge, that used to grow here.
We took it a bit more easy today, just a three hour planting and weeding session in the afternoon. Weather was sunny at first, but after 4 PM the clouds started to gather. +17°C and windy.
