Messing about on the River

Taken at Teddington Lock on the River Thames.

We took our friends out for lunch at Tide End Cottage. After another excellent sampling of cod, chips and the all important mushy peas, we had a walk along the river. I had never seen the Lock in use, today I watched at least six boats pass through.

I was very conscious of being in "Ellis Blipland". I did keep my eyes peeled, 'b' badge on my bag, but no sightings.

Nephew #1 was just back from Scout camp, so it was good to hear his excited recounting of adventures under canvas. Our last day with the family here - I hate goodbyes. We face a long drive home tomorrow.
