No 96: Stock Dove
We've been to RSPB Old Moor again today. There weren't huge numbers of birds around, but I got a lifer (yellow wagtail), another year tick (ruff) and a couple of other unblipped birds (lesser black backed gull, green sandpiper) , so it was a tough choice. I decided to go with the stock dove today, as I've had several poor shots of this in the past, but today, I got a much closer shot. We also saw quite a few dragonflies and damselflies (common blue, blue tailed, ruddy darter, common darter and brown hawker), although not a lot of butterflies (gatekeeper, meadow brown, common blue, peacock). Thank you for the good wishes for the outcome of my spiced blackberry and apple jelly yesterday. It is perfectly set, crystal clear, and tastes fabulous, even if I say so myself.
