Chilly Doggie Treats!

I decided to try a little different approach this evening, as we only returned home from the elusive auto search a short time ago. I am so tired of looking at cars....

The Scottie boys greeted me when I came through the door. It is so wonderful to have adoring critters to oogle over you when you come home feeling less than stellar. Because the little Scotties show their undying affection so openly, I always reward them with a little "something".

This evening, each boy received an icy cold, from the freezer, homemade treat. These little goodies are so easy to make, mixing plain yogurt and canned or fresh pumpkin. There is no real "recipe"....I usually mix the two ingredients about equally, plop the mix into a silicone ice cube tray until frozen solid, then slip them into a sealed plastic bag stored in the freezer.

Dogs love pumpkin and it is beneficial to their digestive system. Plus, nothing is tastier on a hot day....or, even a not so hot day!
