Not *Quite* a Hummingbird!
Early this evening, I was talking to Husband and Daughter when I saw something moving about in the hanging flowers on the front porch. Too large for a bee, but too small for a Hummingbird.
Husband and Daughter protested when I lurched out the door and made my way to the porch. Truly I cannot be the *only* Blipper to suddenly, inexplicably disappear in the middle of a conversation?
Upon taking a closer look, the mystery winged "whatever" turned out to be a little Hummingbird Moth! I was delighted, as I have not seen one here for awhile. I got the camera ready to shoot, but the little winged wonder swiftly moved forward out of my sight on the other side of the hanging flowers!
This little bugger moved so rapidly, I could barely even get the camera to my face when it was gone! This one was indeed a lucky shot for me....this little moth moved faster than any Hummer I have ever seen!
