Waiting

Today I am a lady-in-waiting: an expectant lady: a fingers crossed lady: a hopeful lady: a what have I signed up for lady but also a lady who is prepared for disappointment, knowing as she does the vagaries of a courier service and our address.

The Golden boy has much to answer for in more ways than one.
He, like me, is a gadget person whether it be watches, phones , computers or just plain paper notebooks.

And so when he arrived on Friday with all the excitement of a 7 year old carrying his new Android Galaxy phone to hear that my contract with I-phone 3 was just finished, it didn't take long to convince me that Android was the way to go.

That says something for a lady who had one of the first I-phones to be sold in Edinburgh ( but that's another story) and is an Apple afficionado.
Perhaps he should have made a career in marketing and sales, so persuasive is his sales patter.

To cut a long story shorter, today is the expected date for delivery of this amazing piece of electronic wizardry to the Dower House, and Golden boy has even promised to explain the subtleties of accessing all its prodigious abilities tonight.
The only trouble is, it may be a 21st century gadget, but its operator is more at home in the mid 20th century.

I think one of those notebooks will come in handy when I get him to write it all down lest I forget his instructions. He has a mesmerising affect on any remaining brain cells of mine, such that any synapses to the hard drive in my brain are rendered useless.

Oh, excuse me, I do believe I've heard the bell. Can it be? YES IT IS!

I can make absolutely no connection between this jersey for Granddaughter Nina which I've just finished using my North Ronaldsay wool, and the subject matter of the blog. Ita Sit.
