600 years ago

The 600th anniversary of the Battle of Harlaw is tomorrow, 24th July.

This is the monument at the battlefield erected almost 100 years ago.

The monument was built with places for 6 plaques but these were never completed, I think due to World War I ...

Plaques have been made and fitted to the monument for the 600th anniversary.

Visited it today.

There is a commemoration and wreath-laying tomorrow, but the council has excluded the general public from this.

History belongs to everyone, not just the self-styled civic elite.
