A Dream......

And a.....Work In Progress!!

Our shed, Hubby's shed - enough room for one car and our 'Maranda AMF S-14'

A Canadian design first flown in Canada in 1961, it is a high-wing strut-braced monoplane with a fixed, tailwheel undercarriage. The pilot and passenger sit side-by-side in a fully enclosed cabin.

Our plan is a small four seater, enough room for a pilot, front passenger and two smaller framed persons - we had children in mind. We started building back in 1992, seems many years ago and all just about halted through the years when our daughters were young - we are a one income family. Hubby and I spent many hours working together, he would measure, cut, glue and staple and the next day while Daughter A was at afternoon kindy and Daughter E was having an afternoon sleep I would stand on a box and pull out endless staples after the glue had gone off. The plans have been confusing but Hubby has perservered with a few phone calls to the designer - its much easier now with email.

The time is right for us to continue with this 'work in progress' - it is exciting and one I wanted to blip as I really hope there will come a day when our launching will appear on blip!

Please excuse the mess, but I'm told its an organised mess!! :)
