Answers on a postcard

I liked yesterday's shot which tested my lighting skills, so I was up for a more difficult challenge today. Similar shot, different lighting set up with far more detail to capture with lots of nooks and crannies. Needed to avoid too much DoF and needed far more fill-n light to achieve what I wanted to achieve. And boy this did prove to be a bigger challenge than I had expected. I was surprised how many of my shots were complete failures! This one was passable. Just goes to show how good these product photographers are, although I suspect their glass is significant higher quality than mine!

In choosing an object I was, at one point, at a loss as to what I should shoot. but then I was just stood contemplating this morning and there is was, right in front of me. A possession that we have had ever since I can remember and something I see every day, in the same place. Suffice to say, every male that visits our house will have looked at it. Females on the other hand will hardly have know it was there. Answers on a post card!

Off to James Taylor concert tonight....will report back! Yippee!
