Fuzz Therapy
I love Calvin and Hobbes, always have done. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Calvin is a 6 year old who has a stuffed tiger (Hobbes) who is very much real in Calvin's imagination. In fact, Calvin has a fantastic imagination in all meanings of the word!!
Many of the cartoon strips are extremely funny but there are also those that touch the heart and the one above is one of them.
In the year 2000 my parents bought an 8 week old Golden Retriever puppy called Barnaby. He was gorgeous and grew up into a very handsome dog. It has to be said that he wasn't the easiest of dogs and did give us several stressful moments but he was also a great stress reliever. Sadly, Barnaby contracted leukaemia and died at the age of 9.
This particular Calvin and Hobbes strip reminds me so much of him I have it pinned up on my wall. After the day I've had today, fuzz therapy would be very welcome but I'll just have to make do with the lovely memories of my furry friend.
