My kind of jewels!

Today has been, for the most part, extremely wet and not at all pleasant.

First thing this morning I headed off to the local farmers' market which is held in an old aircraft hanger. As usual there was an excellent array of goods, edible and otherwise. I had a bacon bap for breakfast then bought some beautiful wooden bowls as thank you presents for some people at work.

Then it was down to town, which took a while as the Latitude festival is just down the road and a lot of the traffic comes through here. There was a craft fair taking place at my church which I thought I ought to look in on.

Such bad luck having such awful weather. Very few people going past. There were some interesting bits and pieces for sale but one stall caught my eye. I love quirky jewellery and this certainly is that. The necklace on the left is sort of beaded lace which curls by itself. The pieces on the right are made from modelling clay and are such fun!! Look at the tiny sweet jar earrings. Aren't they brill?

My kind of jewels indeed - though I wouldn't say no to a diamond or two ;-)
