We're Hungry !

We spent a wonderful day meandering with our young friend around Argyll. First headed to Inveraray where we watched sone of the fair being erected. Then off towards Kilchurn Castle, Stopped on the way to wander down a forest walk, found a fast flowing waterfall and an abandoned bicycle. Why do people abandon things like this half wa up a mountain ( and how do they manage to carry thes titems into the woods?, It was lying beside an old bed)

From there a short meander round Loch Awe to Kilchurn Castle, great fun climbing to the top to see magnificent views across the glens. Our wee friend had great fun hiding in the various chambers and fireplaces. We were erenaded by a group of about 30 exuberant , young dutch lads singing Amazing Grace in Dutch then one verse in English.Got a short video of them plus their email address to send it on to them.

Surprised they didn't frighten the swallows but the birds hung around , not venturibg to the many nests in the castle until the " choir" headed off. Got some shots of the swallows crying in one of the nests near the entrance to the castle.

Then meandered further up Loch Awe to loch Etive and across the Connel Bridge to the Sea Life centre beyond Benderloch. Our young friend really enoyed the touch pool and bravely held a spider crab after I picked it up, Off course we had to visit the otters, the seals and all the indoor tanks before the big challenge of completing the adventire course in the woods. including John and myself.

So now , home late again , no time to even look at the images till the wee one was in bed. We had forgotten just how time consuming younger children are , bt not how much fun they can be. !.

So tonight it has to be those baby swallows demanding the attention of their parents. Bit tricky with the light and position of the nest , the best I could do but ithas something about it which I like , hope you do too.

Almost forgot to say thanks for the spell in spotlight for the rooster.

Hope tomorrow is as bright as today,
