yellowstone national park

it seems a day in yellowstone would bring more iconic photographs, but i just love this one. my brother and our friend brian playing a game somewhat like stick sword fighting. at the highest point we could reach on an off trail wander up the hills. snow capped mountains in the distance.

but a lovely day it was. so much wildlife, the geysers and thermal pools, multiple off trail hikes, meeting a bison on the one trail we did take for a ways, looking for wolves (we did see one!), quality time with great friends in a beautiful place!
